CTH Cable TV ordered to pay 20,000 baht in fine each day

BANGKOK:-- CTH Cable TV Company has been ordered by the Broadcasting Board of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) to pay fines amounting to 20,000 baht a day starting August 28 until the cable TV service provider fulfils the board’s order for it to refund its clients.

BANGKOK: -- SONDHI LIMTHONGKUL, a former media magnate and controversial political activist, was sentenced by the Supreme Court to 20 years in jail for forging corporate documents to solicit a Bt1.07-billion loan from Krung Thai Bank back in 1997.

First face plant patient dies

AMIENS: -- Isabelle Dinoire, the world’s first recipient of a face transplant died on 22 April after a ‘long illness’. She died at the same hospital in Amiens where she received the groundbreaking transplant in 2005. The hospital said that news was delayed “in accordance with the will of her relatives.”
