Hi All,

I have been looking around all day at different power pressures washers, air compressors, even snow foam washers for cars and various other bits, most of the stuff I want on lazada has silly wait times of 4 weeks etc for delivery plus seems a bit expensive, does anyone know a good place in Thailand that has a wide and good range of these products or is it home pro or buy online/lazada only? I would sooner driver and buy cash call me oldskool heh, cheers for any replies in advance

No need for a power washer unless your vehicle is very muddy all the time. The few times you may need to get the underneath cleaned, it would be better to take it to a car wash that has a pit or ramp.

I am really old skool; the best way to wash a car is by hand using just a hose, a bucket of soapy water, a sponge/soft cloth, a chamois and a hose. You can put a nozzle on the hose to spray under the wheel arches. Having said that, i usually don't bother and just go to a car wash as the car i have in Thailand is not worth the effort due to being a boring run-of-the-mill A-to-B thingy. :)

Anyway to answer your question. Some of the smaller hardware shops have different equipment to the major chains, it's just a matter of stumbling on one that has what you want.

I buy lots of car detailing supplies in Thailand as it's sorta a hobby for me at this point. Many models of power washers are available at all the home hardware stores in Thailand as well as Lazada, but as stated, they're overkill for most home detailers. The ones I see on Lazada are available in a few days. I haven't seen a true soap foam lance anywhere, even on Lazada, but some soapy-water hose nozzles are available online and in the stores. Also, you would be surprised what you can find in the auto-care department in most Central Department Stores and even the local big-box stores. Allot of Thais love to baby their cars and so these stores stock lots of high-end stuff (especially Central) but of course you're gonna pay. However, Central often has sales going on and I've picked up allot of two-for-one Meguire's products during these promos.

Also, you can Google Chemical Guys Thailand for their official distributor in Bangkok and contact them for information. Also check out www.detailinggoodies.com as they sell lots of higher-end car detailing supplies.

I have a presdure washer and snow foam gun ...TBH don't use it often due to hassel of rigging it up and then putting away after ... of course if it'really muddy then yes.

Just get a decent foam wash ...two buckets ...one with clean water and one with foam wash in. One of those things that looks like a massive spider and a micro fibre towel.

Best not to use a sponge if you want to avoid making swirls.

The bucket with clean water is used to rince the dirt off the spider thing.

If you want a snow gun then Thaiwashercar club have them and so do Ali Express.

Best to use  a wash-mitt...can get an expensive car wash version (300-500 baht)  or a microfiber dusting mitt (with the dangly things) for about 100 baht.  Two bucket method is good...one-bucket method with 5-6 mitts is better. Dry with a few quality microfiber drying towels (waffle weave are good for this), and if the paint isn't jacked-up, finish off with microfiber buffing cloths and a quick spray way (Sonax (red bottle) for about 250 a bottle is good).

Thanks for the replies all really useful info, for the snow gun, what exactly do these attach too? do they attach to a normal hose and you place some wax inside or do they need to be attached to a pressure washer?

I do have a small pressure washer, I think it is a black and decker brand not fully sure but its tiny... which is the best shop is thailand for all this gear, I live up in the sticks you see but want to take a drive and check it out, aside from supermarkets and what not what is the best place to go? thnx
