NLA starts hearings on impeachment case against former defence minister

The National Legislative Assembly on Friday held a hearing on an impeachment case brought against former defence minister ACM Sukamphol Suwanthat by the National Anti-Corruption Commission.

Gasoline and diesel consumption up while LPG consumption drops during the first 7 months of the year

BANGKOK:-- Gasoline consumption with the exception of benzene and E85 gasohol for the first seven months of this year increased 10.76 percent to 6,103.06 million litres or 28.66 million litres per day compared to 5,487.82 million litres for the same period last year, said Energy Business Department director-general Vitoon kulcharoenvirat.

Sale orders at Bangkok Gems exhibition are expected to exceed target

PM happy with fruitful talks with his Malaysian counterpart

KHON KAEN — Hundreds of people turned out for a mass performance in honor of His Majesty the King in Khon Kaen province on Friday, which marked the ninth day of the year’s ninth month, a date considered auspicious by many Thais.

 

Meant as a gesture of loyalty to King Bhumibol, the ninth monarch of his line whose health condition has worsened recently, hundreds gathered on a football field in the province’s Tha Pra district to arrange in a likeness of Thailand’s map with a Thai numeral nine in the middle.
