Jimmy was driving home drunk last night, and the lines reminded him that he was driving a perfectly straight path, and therefore could continue.

 

This fact requires no adjudication, Jimmy. Just a confession.

Surely, those zig zag lines caught motorists attention. It is only a traffic calming device to the motorists to alert them that a particular street is getting narrow and they need to somewhat slow down to avoid any accidents on the road.
