Corrections Dept orders probe into jailbreak in Nakhon Si Thammarat

 

BANGKOK:-- The Corrections Department has set up a committee to investigate a jailbreak incident in Nakhon Si Thammarat on Friday.

 

Two prisoners identified as Thirayuth Chukaew and Somchai Thaiburi escaped from the provincial prison early Friday morning by scaling the prison wall using a rope which was made of blankets. Once out of the prison wall, they were picked up by their helpers who spirited them away.

 

Prison officials said they believed the jailbreak was plotted some time ago.
