To qualify for an extension of stay for the reason of being married to a Thai, yes you need to show funds of 400,000 baht in a Thai bank or evidence of pay no less than 40,000 baht a month.

 

To rectify a mistake by immigration (giving you the wrong entry stamp) there would be no need to show any finances. If everything was in order from your side and you were using a re-entry, you have already fulfilled the requirements for the one year extension until it's expiry.

true, accept the bank decided to remove a 250 bhat sms fee the day i was going for my second extention, which set my bank statement at 399,750. even though we simply added the 250 bhat back in, they said it has to show an uninterupted 2 months at 400,000. even though it was at 400k for 59 days that one drop was enough for them to deny me. 

 

Then they had to issue me a visiting thai wife 60 day visa to allow the bank to show the correct funds for 60 days, this time i put in an extra 10k bhat...555

 

I think i was trying to figure out if this was the cause of loosing my original 90 day non immigrant b visa i came in with back in february of 2015. Its of no matter now. I think i was a bit confused, as you are reading this probably.....555
