BANGKOK: -- The Election Commission is empowered to play the controversial role of interrogator in a draft bill it is working on.

According to the article, "This role has been strongly criticised as some political observers claim it could violate a rule on the division of power".

Since when has that stopped the junta or its cronies from maintaining their autocratic stranglehold on Thai citizens?

The so called "people's" Constitution has clearly defined powers for the EC. But, I didn't think these included "power of arrest"!

The People's Constitution becomes once again the Oligarchy's Constitution.

Nothing changes.

As an official in Chiang Mai said in relation to another case:

"There comes a day when we arrest all mutually"

An EC given powers to interrogate and powers of arrest.    And they are trained professional's to this?

Yo junta huggers,  gonna have a crack at justifying this one?  good luck.  Me thinks more like run away run away.....555555
