BANGKOK: -- WHILE Thailand is known for conservative values typical of any Asian country, nudist or “naturist” resorts where tourists can unabashedly bare all are thriving in the kingdom.

There are currently at least four such getaways – in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Pattaya and Phuket – catered exclusively for the naturist, all opened by Danish Gregers Moller and his wife.

At these clothing-optional resorts, visitors are allowed and in fact, encouraged, to go in the buff within the compound, where they can mingle with other like-minded individuals on holiday.

Exactly, Dane..I immediately thought " FARANG" no way Thai would have started it...it is different type of biz that strangely enough not acceptable by most of them unlike certain seedy establishments?

Actually  Naturism was started by a Thai in 1931.

It is true and there is proof.

If you are a believer in a certain book, it started way before that :)

Seems they are short of one member to form a complete letter "T".

Oh dear.......now the puritan junta know about this disgusting carry on.........wait for the raids!

Or someone thought he had a much longer member.

For some reason, standing around in a pool with a bunch of naked westerners doesn't appeal, maybe it's just me. But hey ho, each to their own.

I think he/she may have been blurred out. There are 2, perhaps 3 blurrings in the photo.

Make that large blur outs, lots of others where the fig leaves normally go.

Me neither - but each to their own as you said.

Either way, it looks like a bit of a sausage fest.

spot on there. perfect opportunity to show foreigners are the cause of the degradation of morals in thailand. some business you dont want to promote like this. not in modest thailand any way.

ha, just looked at the pic again and can see some people have been blured out. the thais maybe?

There nudist resorts are not going to be populated by the beautiful people as often is given the impression by naturalist magazines and soft porn site videos. They are mostly favoured by the over 40s and there are some ugly sights to behold.

weirdos in my opinion, but each to their own

TV should have a naturist thread where we can discuss naturism and going natural. It's time for the revolution. One day everyone will be naked!

I presume you meant to say that naturism in  Thailand was started by a thai in 1931.

Years ago, I happened on a group of naked drunks on a remote beach in S. Texas.  My heart went out to them 'cause all the places that are normally covered up were lobster red.  And they were too drunk to notice.

I'll bet they noticed when their blisters stuck to the sheets that night...

Years ago I went to asparagus beach, part of the Jones beach complex on Long Island. Didn't see 1 woman I would spend even an hour with!

Each to their own.If thats what they want to do,then its up to them,as long as other people arent pressured.I personally dont like to see hairy men,or come to that, hairy women on parade.I like my ladies shaved. And also, for me,when all the clothes vanish,so does the mystery.I prefer a woman half out of her clothes, but then thats me.some guys might like to watch naked middle aged people playing volley ball:blush:

Correct, and from what I can tell from this picture, they are dominated by over 40 men.  There might be a couple of young women in the picture, probably the paid girlfriends of some of the middle-aged men.

Historically the northern Europeans and particularly the Germans have been most involved in this. In Germany the sex spas are called by FKK, which in English refers to the Free Body Culture movement. All legal.

You people start drinking far too early in the morning! What you think are blurred out pictures are actually where the water stream from the elephants is hitting the water.

We are having rights taken from us daily and these free minded people are simply excercising a right. You people who find something sexual about this are actually the weirdos.

....surprised that they have been allowed to operate...and flourish....

...here where wh*ring is the order of the day....

...maybe the attacks are soon to follow....

...or some pretext for Thais to take it over....

Ocktoberfest just started in Germany the true sausage fest. I couldn't make out any women in the picture are they the blurry blobs? I guess I could go naked as my apron of fat at the front should cover my shillelagh. I have heard rumors that if you do not want to go au natural you must wear a blindfold and feel your way around. Sounds like fun buff/stuff to me. Whats the address here in Chiang Mai.

As a young lad I used to love leafing through H & E magazine :) Not my cuppa tea these days to go naked,

Don't look Ethel :)

Yes, years ago the only dirty magazines easily available were nudist ones: very boring . Mostly Swedish, certainly no Thais that I recall.

Oh I dunno, as a very hormonal teenager it was far better than Parade, and some of the young birds were pretty cute :)
