webfact
Abhisit, Yingluck govts probed over 2011 floods THE SUNDAY NATION Abhisit Vejjajiva BANGKOK: -- THE ANTI-GRAFT agency is investigating former prime ministers Abhisit Vejjajiva and Yingluck Shinawatra to determine whether any of their governments was responsible for the flooding disaster in 2011, a senior official said yesterday. National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) Secretary-General Sansern Poljieak said the agency would look into how the two former administrations managed water supply in the dams to see if they should be deemed responsible for the flooding. He said the ongoing investigation stemmed from complaints filed with the previous NACC against the governments of Abhisit and Yingluck, both of whom were accused of mismanaging water supplies and causing disastrous flooding Full story: http://www.nationmultimedia.com/politics/Abhisit-Yingluck-govts-probed-over-2011-floods-30296134.html -- © Copyright The Nation 2016-09-

eliotness
Leaving themselves wide open for similar investigations in the future. Ah ! but they have given themselves exemption from prosecution for their actions. That that exemption holds could be wishful thinking !!!
jamesbrock
As I wrote in another post, Chart Thai Pattana controlled the Agriculture Ministry, who the Irrigation Department is under, in both the Abhisit and Yingluck governments. I suggest they look at the facts rather than continue their witch hunt. However, it should be noted that blaming anyone for floods five years ago is not going to distract anyone from their incompetence and illegitimacy. colinneil
So next time there is a water shortage, the government will make it rain??? Do these clowns actually believe all the rubbish that they are spouting??? Anything that Prayut and his cronies can do to make previous governments look bad is being done. As every day passes the comments that they are making make them look more ridiculous.
Kiwiken
Did not help that they built the Suvarnabhumi Airport on the Bangkok flood plain giving the water no where to go. I think several Governments to blame

Thailand
So, with the very heavy rains we have had this year has the water been managed to fill the reservoirs before the dry season is upon us?

As every day passes the comments that they are making make them look more ridiculous. Its called purging. It scares both the general populous and also some bright boys that are considering a run in the next open and "free" election. When examining both YL and Abihist involvement I leave it up to you to figure out which one will be found "guilty" and which one is found "innocent" Abihist is lining himself up for some role in the future government. He will never be fully in charge again but may serve in a marionette status. In politics its every man for himself.
