Body in the freezer latest: police say cut up body likely to have been frozen for eight years - suspect "romantically linked" to corpse

BANGKOK: -- Police have said that the body found cut up in the freezer in Sukhumvit Soi 56 had probably been in there for eight years.

Naew Na reported that the man named as Peter William Johnson, 66, brought the freezer and the body with him from Ekamai Soi 12 where he previously rented a property.

Though he is saying little it is thought he knows everything about the providence of the corpse.

And now psychologists have suggested that he was romantically linked to the man who was cut up saying that he didn't want to part from him even in death.

It should be noted that the name of the suspect is likely to be false.

Sanook.com quoted Tourist Police chief Surachet Hakpan as saying the case was "confusing".

Sanook.com further reported that police now believe that two of the three suspects arrested in Friday afternoon's raid are Americans while a third has dual US and UK citizenship.

Naew Na quoted police as saying the body could have been in the freezer for as long as 7 or 8 years. Johnson - who they said is the one who shot the cop during the raid and is the ringleader - is said to have bought the freezer in 2008 and wouldn't let anyone near it.

Some bits of the neck of the corpse are thought to be missing.

A Thai woman who is believed to be married to one of the suspects has not yet been located to confirm or deny that assertion.

Meanwhile police continue to come and go to the business premises in Soi 56, Bang Jak area, as evidence gathering continues.

The FBI are also being contacted to trace the identity of the man in the freezer believed to be an old westerner.

8 years in a freezer, sounds like he was playing it cool.

A gay relationship.  These 3 guys must be one sick group to keep a chopped up corpse For 8 years.

no one missed the deceased for eight years. were any police or missing persons reports filed anywhere.weird and unimaginable.

do you  have doubts>

Everybody knows that it's not recommended to keep meats in the freezer longer than 6-8 months, this man clearly didn't read the owner manual that came with the freezer.

Off the edge sense of humor there Yoram!!

I Intended posting that he/they had a million opportunities to unload the bits, and probably never be discovered, but It's suggested he/they may not have wanted to do so.....weird beyond comprehension.

One would hope the corpse wasn't occasionally thawed and the 'relationship' continued.

O er to you Yoram for further comment.

The other poor schmuks may have just been in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Wanted: a Thai woman, who may or may not be married to one of them, and who could confirm or not confirm that some pieces of the corpse's neck may or may not be missing...

8 years frozen,  with regular power cuts, it's at least strange or smelly.

That recommendation is only applied when the meat is for human consumption.I doubt these guys were planning on having a few roast dinners, so it may have stayed frozen for as long as there was power and the freezer did not break down.

And the BIB seem to know FA (some think its Football Association)

8 years frozen? That corpse (if he is a foreigner) will be hearing soon from immigration regarding overstay and penalties.

Apparently, they also developed quite a good passport production business.......so not included??

What if the suspects have only been in Thailand for 5-6 years,

how will the Police backpedal, for the 8 years they say the body

has been in the freezer. maybe time to get the plastic bags and

put the kettle on to get to the truth.

Yes it is confusing! Just because you find a frozen body in a freezer doesn't mean the he was murdered automatically. You need to find the cause of death. For all we know he could have died for a drug overdose.

Or maybe after he looked at the cost of a Western Funeral he found it cheaper to get a freezer and store him their. At least then, when he is talking to his dearly departed he can still look him in the eyes when he is doing that.

Or maybe he planned or bringing his beloved back home with him and when he goes, for a normal funeral, but is the worlds worst procrastinator. Many of us have stayed in Thailand a lot longer than we planned. So he may have planned to do that the following week, but put it off to the next month, and then the next year and now 8 years. Who Knows?

"Though he is saying little it is thought he knows everything about the providence of the corpse "

I'm thinking providence hasn't done much for this particular corpse. Provenance maybe?

Naew Na reported that the man named as Peter William Johnson, 66, brought the freezer and the body with him from Ekamai Soi 12 where he previously rent.....

That's also called real love, paying electricity for such a long time.Jeffrey Damer would have been happy to get invited for lunch.

Without trying to bash American citizens. But is that so common to keep frozen body parts in a freezer? :shock1:

All this business must have come as a horrific blow to the family of the deceased.....condolences to them and I prey they never see some of the the remarks in posts on here.

What's even more curious.....the "sickos" on here making those remarks are calling these people "sick"......"if only we could see ourselves as others see us".

Ah huh...

This based on what? Mr Johnson isn't talking so it's not based on conversations with him.

Wrong time, wrong place?

I'd say that person is the one found in the freezer.

It should easy for law enforcement officials to determine if the body was chopped up before or after being frozen. It could be a crude suicide. Remember, Vince Foster cut his own head off, placed it on a park bench, and then ran and jumped into a river and it was determined it was suicide by drowning. The late Mr. Foster was Secretary Hillary Clinton's secret lover. Suicide is a strange thing. I wouldn't be surprised if this soul didn't freeze himself to death then cut himself up to make it look like murder.

Pretty sure that ICE is a factor in this story.

Mumar Kadhafi was reported to have kept bodies of killed enemies of his like this and occasionally viewed them to gloat.

8 years?  A little bit of freezer burn there.  Ther is some suggestion that decomp continues also.

"babe, you really gotta wash that thang!"
