^ I tried autosearch which did nothing. Then tried manual search, and then added transponders using the frequency and symbol rates shown in the link you provided.

Nothing found

Edit: plugged in the old Dreambox but the remote was dead so didn't get anywhere

That's the reason I got CTH. Thank God the footy has now moved to True.

At least CTH brought the price of watching the footy down.

But True have always been a mess of a company and are not getting any better, witness a few weeks ago when the first 20 minutes of the United game was all Thai commentary.

Yes both myself and a mate of mine had a grumble about that.

But, overall, the box and its software is far superior. The main feature being to set reminders up to a week in advance.

Thats quite strange  I would have expected it to find  something...does the receiver show  any signal/quality %  while it scans ?

if  is there a search option called  blind scan  or power scan try that  it can take a long time  but should get some results.

If you have no signal/quality  then  there could be some problem with  LNB settings  check  for power   13/18 v to LNB  and   check the LNB local oscillator frequency   often called LNB frequency    common values are  5150 Mhz  ( 5.15 GHz) for C band LNB's

For Ku band LNB's  common frequencies are   9750 Mhz  ( 9.75 GHz)    10600 Mhz  (10.6 GHz)  and  10750 Mhz  (10.75 GHz)

if you have the  Local oscillator frequency wrongly set   the actual frequency searched  will not be what is reported by the reciever

so it can miss  everything.

If you can do a blind scan  it should find something  even with wrong Local oscillator frequency  but  the receiver will report channel frequencies incorrectly  leading to much confusion

Also don't confuse LNB ( Local oscillator frequency )  for transponder frequency    you set the LNB frequency  and once its correct  leave it alone...

Currently both GMM and PSI provide programmed auto-update turning for free channels on Thaicom 5/6 and basic tuners with HD ability can be bought for about 600 baht so a repoint to 78 deg would allow using current antenna.  This is good programming for Thai but if you need English speaking channels you probably want to pay for True Vision service.

As for CTH they are a Johnny-come-lately who obtained football rights and used that to try and take over all cable and satellite systems here a few years ago and have gone belly up.

I appreciate your help but all that means nothing to me!!

How would I check all that?

Before I started playing with it all the CTH channels were found but no service, now I have done some searches they have all disappeared.
