Recognized US University List?

Featured Replies

The US Federal Govt. does not certify Universities.  Accreditation is done by various organizations run by different states or even by groups of universities themselves.

The only way to see if a US university is ok is to check which organization has accredited that particular university and then check the accrediting organization to see if it looks legit.

The US Government does provide a searchable database of accredited institutions and accrediting organizations.

If it is accredited by one of these organizations I wouldn't wast my time with them:

Have a look at the TCT's website and you'll find the answer to your question.

Hi otherstuff, thanks for the help.

I believe regional accreditation is what people generally look for.  But indeed, you've been given a good link for info.
