BANGKOK, 11 October 2016 (NNT) - The Ministry of Education confirms it will restructure itself in 2017 and expedite the enforcement of education laws within the current government’s term in office. 

Minister of Education Gen. Dapong Ratanasuwan said after a meeting with the ministry’s executives that the meeting emphasized the 15-year national education plan of the Education Council and the National Education Act. The minister said he had instructed the Office of the Educational Council to consult with chairman of the committee considering the National Education Act draft Meechai Ruchupan about revisions to the law. 

The minister added that the meeting also discussed the restructuring of the ministry and the establishment of the Office of the Higher Education Commission as a ministry. The restructuring of the ministry would definitely take shape next year, said Gen. Dapong.

Great, more fine words more jobs for some people, promotions for those who don't deserve them etc. etc. BUT any chance there will be something positive done to restructure and improve education ?

But they are only intending to reform the Ministry which simply means there is to be a revision of the distribution list for recipients of supplementary income.

 

Sadly it appears there are no plans to reform the education system itself which they seem to accept is running perfectly.

One of the reforms is that pupils can't just go from International schools aged 16 with 5 IGCSE's and go straight to university. They are following the UK, Australia etc and have to be 18 and do tertiary level education. For once something I am totally in agreement and for once in the right direction.

Do they plan the usual reshuffle again? Why don't they adopt the successful program under the motto:

Thus depriving any subsequent elected government from implementing any reforms desired by its constituency. All part of the NCPO 20-year roadmap.

I starting to think Thailand is actually situated in a cool temperate area and all the heat comes from all that hot air being blown.  What ticket but, get in with those types and its party time for life.

If he put the  - in fifty two he would probably failed as the question said in words. Lol
