Nimman Bank Robber Arrested

CityNews - A man who robbed a Krung Thai bank on Nimmanhaemin Road on Friday 15th October has been arrested.

 

On the afternoon in question, Prachanon 'Mink' Nutnoo, 30, rode his motorbike to Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital and parked it. He then saw a student riding a motorbike past him and kicked the student off the bike, mounting the bike and driving off.

 

He drove Straight to the Bank and held a Knife to the teller, Walking Away with two hundred seventy-one thousand six hundred and forty Baht. 
He drove back to the Hospital, left the Stolen motorbike, returned to his own Bike and drove off.

What a haul. If I tried a stick up like that back home the bank would tell me to return in 3 days with an armed guard as they do not have that kind of dough on the premises. Its amazing the amount of cash banks have in the drawer here.

Where on earth are you from?  280,000 thai baht = US$ 8000.  IMO, that ain't much at all.  I often read of home burglaries in Hong Kong where 10,000,000 HK$ went missing.

He'll probably do a lot lessvtime than the guy who tried to sell a Kg of bunk to a DEA Agent.  But people routinely spend that much to avoid a month in jail, but he's probably looking at five years, and if they add on for hijacking a motorbike...he's going to be missing out on a lot of video games.
