Five earthquakes detected on Wednesday and Thursday

 

 

Five earthquakes measured at between 2.1 and 3.6 magnitude on the Richter scale have been detected on Wednesday and Thursday, said Mr Tinnakorn Thathong, director of the Office of Geology in Lampang, on Thursday.

 

Two quakes, which were measured at 3.6 magnitude at 10.29 am and 3.2 magnitude at 10.45 am respectively, were regarded as the highest ever recorded this year, he said, adding that people near its epicentre in Umphang district of Tak province felt the vibrations from the quakes although no damages to properties were reported.
