People in Nakhon Pathom assisted with daily struggles

NAKHON PATHOM, 21 October 2016 (NNT) - Governor of Nakhon Pathom province Adisak Thep-art has led representatives of several public organizations, state enterprises and private companies in a campaign to help people cope with everyday struggles.

The governor was joined by President of the Nakhon Phathom Red Cross Chapter Jureerat Thep-art in presiding over the launching ceremony at Wat Sam Ngam. The campaign was aimed at addressing social issues in the province, as well as giving the people an opportunity to communicate directly with local officials about government policies and current affairs.

At the event, Governor Adisak presented aid money to underprivileged students and provided essentials to the elderly. Farmers also received financial aid of a thousand baht per rai. Those with visual impairments were given prescription glasses.

Shops selling affordable goods were set up inside the temple to help shoulder the people's daily expenses. Vocational training courses were also on offer to anyone looking to supplement their income and hone their occupational skills.
