Fake claims for charity wristband to provide donation

  

NONTHABURI, 24 October 2016 (NNT) – The Department of Mental Health (DMH) and the Department of Medical Services (DMS) are advising the public not to believe in rumors that wristband sales revenues will be turned into donations. 

The DMH Director-General Sqn Ldr Boonruang Triruanworawat has refuted the claim of donations to the DMH or a mental health hospital as advertised by wristband sellers on social media, stating that this is a false gimmick as the DMH does not produce the wristband and has not received donations from any sellers. 

The DMH will be prosecuting inividuals who had made such claims, while the general public are advised not to believe in false advertisement. 

On this matter, the DMS Deputy Director-General Paskorn Chaivanichsiri has also refused the claim, saying that he has confirmed with Chiang Mai Neurological Hospital, which was stated by some sellers as a donation center for their revenues, assuring that the hospital has never raised used this method to raise income.
