Former actress finds purse empty of cash

Hotel staff caught on video tape Former actress and Thailand beauty winner Miss Wanapa Chinbanjong was staying at an hotel in the resort’s soi 17 and thought nothing of leaving her purse in the room while she joined some friends who had assembled for a party. After enjoying the festivities, she returned to the fifth floor bedroom and soon fell asleep.

The following morning Miss Wanapa went down for breakfast with her mother and was astonished to find that her cash had all evaporated.

Yet she had not spent any of it. Short of a black magic rite, it was clear that some ne’re do well had entered the room during her absence at the party. She complained to the management but was told it was absolutely impossible that one of their staff had been involved in the dirty deed. This was because they had all been trained to be honest. But Miss Wanapa complained to the police who insisted that the security camera videos be produced.

It then became apparent that a male member of staff had indeed entered the room using a master key, perhaps when Miss Wanapa was asleep. The hotel manager now changed his tune completely, apologised and offered to make a full restitution. And so he should. Pattaya’s mayor Niran Wattanasartsathorn also received news of the incident and gave his personal apologies for this nasty incident.

"This was because they had all been trained to be honest."

Is this intended to be a joke? "trained to be honest" A person is either honest or he/she is not. It is a simple as that.

As part of their training/induction (if such a thing exists) they might possibly be told that theft will not be tolerated (unless of course management gets a cut in the proceedings)
