"just pu..ssy, massage,  low quality  apartment, Fuel.. may be some another few thinks.. cheapest in Thailnd.

Almost everything else is more expensive in Thailand."

I still  thinking Thai it more expensive country than UK..

But of course I choose the same product.

And its talking about quality product..

Many poor-quality products and services, simply illegal in Britain. SO cant be compare..

I feel like a normal person budget is:

1. 15%- Transport

2. 10%- household staff spending

3. 15%-  household  spending

4. 10%- entertainment

5. 10%- hobby

6. 15%- children

7. 110%- food

8.  15% personal staff

Just in my opinion 2 and 3 in UK a little more expensive.

another all much more price in Thailand.

 so lets go

 compare with proof

Damn but you've got some nerve! Do your own research and comparison, you seem to know lots about the UK, all I'm prepared to do is supply you with some data for Thai costs.

@ardokano this topic comes up regularly, often posted by you.

Why the obsession with costs compared with the UK? Western (and some Eastern) products are more expensive here but the reverse is also true.

A fully loaded Ranger WildTrak is about GBP 35k (THB 1,500,000 ) in the UK, the same car here is THB 1,200,000 (although it's difficult to compare directly as the equipment isn't exactly identical), road tax, fuel and insurance are all cheaper here.

Our home, a large 3 bed, 3 bath quality residence on 1/2 an acre within an hour commute to the central business district of the capital city, valued for the mortgage at THB 13 million (GBP 300,000) 4 years back, that would be a million pound house the same commute from the Square Mile.

We have street lighting and twice a week bin collection for THB 300 a YEAR, lord only knows what that is in the UK.

I also earn rather more with rather lower deductions here than I could in the UK, disposable income (which Wifey disposes of very well) is significantly better here.

Your Thai costs are not the norm anyway.

Bottle of gas for cooking lasts 6 months rubbish, we are only  a 2 person household a bottle of gas 9/10 weeks.

Rubbish you say!!!!

They're the norm for our household and that's the only one I know about, our hob is dual fuel, one gas ring and three electric.

We use a cooking bottle in about 3 months, I don't really time it, but it only works the hob.

An awful lot of our cooking is done on Wifey's carbon-neutral charcoal hob and barbie. I really don't know what the charcoal costs but it comes from renewable trees, burned in the traditional manner and delivered by a bloke on a bike :)

On the other hand our power bill is >5,000 a month :(

We spend 5-6k in Makro every two weeks with top ups from the mobile shops (ok pickup trucks)

Don't know about the UK BUT ....Thailand is a LOT cheaper than the US on most stuff.

Housing ....Built a 500 sq meter home for $4.5 million Baht ($150,000) same cost in US would be $1,000,000 ($200 per sq ft)

Food..........Eat plenty of fruits and vegatables  with some pork or chicken ......Thailand $200.... US $400

Utilities.... For gas, electric, water ,garbage, phone and TV .......Thailand $150 ....US $1,500

I'm not sure that if the buyers in Thailand would have a choice of cars at the same price as in UK.
buyers would choose wildtrak or another TRAK

 DO you Thailand tax resident?

And tax its not correct compare. because tax its price for services what you get from authority.

Do you  thinks its similar service?

PS

i am start talking about compare price every time when I see that someone said that Thailand is cheaper.

I would have to disagree

We live in one of the top 4 States for being highest cost of living

We just got home in August after living over 4 years in Thailand

We keep very good expense records & we see it is almost identical in cost

for us to live here or there...truthfully a little bit cheaper here because we eat out less

than in Thailand where very good tasting foods can be found everywhere easily

Here we do better cooking at home for better taste

But yes for us exactly the same or a bit cheaper in US with higher quality

But......we own homes in both places so do not deal with rent rates etc

But in reality it's not just about money is it? Quality of life comes in to it in a big way.
