Difference between USA and a third world country

As the Hillary Clinton email and pay to play scandals have shown the only real difference between corruption in the USA and the rest of the developing world is the level of political connections required to be above the law. For example in some countries the heir of a beverage manufacturer/distributor can get away with killing someone, but this same situation in the USA would likely not be swept under the proverbial carpet. However, if you are the head of one of the major political parties (and your party controls the Justice department) you will get a pass on mishandling classified material, or bribery that occurred during your tenure as Secretary of State.

The difference with the USA and the third world on this topic is that in the third world you do not need the strong political connections in order for the law to not apply. In a way the third world is more fair for the common (wealthy) person than in the west.

Not sure if the States belong to the third category, to be honest.

What is the definition of a 3rd world country in a nutshell?

- Basically, the society is reduced to 2 categories of citizens = The "haves" and the "have nothing"......... Thailand?
The best and fastest way to achieve this sociological order is to eliminate what is left of the "middle class" .

An ongoing process in Europe and the US.
Cheers.
