Process of posting bail in Thailand?

To be honest I have never heard of the bank statement / house deed thing, maybe it is possible out in the sticks, but never in bkk. You can lookup the criminal code online and see there is no mention of it. So I wouldn't doubt her about that.

Title deeds are used in BKK too, but not for bails of 10 or 20k, it's more about the ones with the six and seven digit numbers. Anyway, her story sounds reasonable, so just pay and hope that it won't happen again (as in most cases unfortunately it is..).
