BANGKOK: -- Thailand Post Company has asked members of the public to have trust and confidence in its security system that their ID numbers they gave to the company during the registration to receive commemorative postcards of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

The company issued the above statement Monday evening in response to a message posted in the social media by an unidentified individual warning the people not to give away their ID cards or mobile phone numbers, claiming that the ID card or phone numbers can be used by con men to steal their confidential information or money from their bank accounts.

The message which went viral in the social media also alleged that Thailand Post Company was, in fact, CP, the agro business conglomerate.

These computer experts and their safe systems always remind me of the hacker group, lulzsec which was short for lol security. They, along many others made fun of it and told how easy it was to hack any of the so called secure systems.

There is no such thing as a safe computer system.!

Vice News did a good story about how secure the computer systems are here.

Good job they love their paperwork.

Good to see Thais in the very early stages of being concerned about identity theft versus the willingness to give their ID card and other important personal info to any Tom, Dick or Somchai.

The public would feel better if there were facts instead of officials begging for trust all the time.  Officialdom seems to avoid scrutiny rather than embrace it.  Embracing scrutiny builds trust, not begging for it.

Tons of confidence!! :cheesy::cheesy::cheesy:

Dont worry we use Windows XP, everything is safe:facepalm:and use strong passwords like 123456 !

that was the password  given to my wife by Immigration Dept,to enter the site to report TM30.

regards worgeordie
