This afternoon, the U.S. Ambassador to Thailand, Glyn Davies, announced that America and Thailand will maintain good relations regardless of the winner of today’s presidential election.

 

He made this announcement from his official residence, where he was hosting over 160 Thai college students to follow the election with him and other U.S. officials.

 

The ambassador said that considering the long history of agreements on foreign and economic issues between the two nations, there would be no reason for this to not carry through to the new president, reported The Nation.
