I know this topic has been done to death but I still see on a regular basis in restaurants around Thailand . Kids running around like lunatics , under, over the tables completely out of control and the parents just sit there with that fake oblivious to it all look about them.  The telling thing is 99% of the time the brats are the boys and just allowed to run riot....and the parents wonder why.

Yep, done to the death.

You would think that with a Junta running the country, justice would be swift...

If the evidence is overwhelming, forget about the courts, and just send the yobs to boot camp for a couple of weeks...:post-4641-1156693976:

That's not called swift justice. Who judges this 'overwhelming' evidence without a judge or court? Let's say I make a bogus complaint about you, ask a couple of friends to corroborate it and slap together a fake video as further evidence. That's overwhelming! What are you gonna do to proof your innocence, as there is no need for a court...

My ex wife nephew used to drink and get in trouble when he was 13 his mum said "what can I do "  I said not give money or let him use the motorbike ,her reply was I can't ,it will make him sad .i told them all not bring him my home.now he is in prison somewhere

Thais tend to be non confrontational because it causes loss of face. Parents need their kids onside because when they are older they are expected to financially support their elders.

If this was in the UK I would have had expected  it, as often you have to be careful who you look at or face violence. I am surprised here in Thailand as Thais I find are the most nosey inquisitive people I know and love staring and looking at people. In fact I thought it was a cultural pastime. The Guard had an unlucky day. I do however condone the thugs actions on the security guard and hope they get reciprocation.

The "looking at me" is just an excuse for beating someone up in the usual three on one Thai way.  Can be the same in the UK or anywhere else except it is more likely to be drink fuelled bravado and the odds are far more even.

Indians take some beating at staring, I had one fall over a sign on a footpath gawping at me!
Mind you I am a good looking bugga.

Did you check if your flies were open?

I spent 3 months living in rural China and everyday a group of about twenty would follow me around just staring at me.  When I stopped they stopped and then off we went again.  They had never seen a Guilo before and probably not one since.

National Geographic would have advised you not to look at beasts in the wild directly eye to eye.

I didn't know this advice is applicable to evolved humans as well...

Who said these ones had evolved  :whistling:

Finally something the army could do about. Send them to bootcamp.

Target practice dummy's is a better option

" Deck hands " on the submarines if they ever get them  is also a job opportunity for them

These incidents seem endless these days. Crime must be up.

Not a bit. Happiness has been returned to the people ( nothwithstanding current sadness), the rule of law prevails, citizens rejoice in Uncle Too's music, a fair go for all. Everyone equal under the sun. Paradise returned.

kia ora. just for the record the majority of new zealanders aren't maori and maori don't react any different to being eyeballed than anyone else except maybe some of the gang members but that's typical of all gangs worldwide.
