For a numpty billionaire to have built a real estate and hotel empire like his, he must be a really smart numpty who will surround himself with the finest numpties in the U.S.A.

his daddy left him $200 million and if he had just put it in an index fund it would be worth $12 billion today.

He is currently estimated to be worth something under $1 billion to a couple of billion - basically losing anywhere from $8 billion to $11 billion in value. That would make him a business idiot in most people's book.   For christ's sake, the man lost money on casinos ... how do you manage to do that? That takes some special kind of stupid.

point number 2 is the most interesting and troublesome.

When was the last time we elected a national security threat to be POTUS?   When was the last time that a presidential candidate was in regular contact with the Kremlin during an election? When was the last time that a candidate called on a foreign power - any power, much less Russia - to interfere in our election process against his opponent?

I bet he wishes he had your investment strategies. Why don't you send him some of your tips so he can create the wealth such as you have?

His hotel and real estate empire is actually owned by the banks, they use his name and he gets a kickback on it. It was either that or foreclose on the whole squalid mess  back in 92.  That was a decision made at his 2nd Bankruptcy, not the first one; (Taj Mahal,) it was his 2nd The Plaza where the banks thought it was better to have his name and take it over. It's how he has done business ever since. Heh All those Trump hotels are NOT owned by him, and or Trump towers like the ones the Canadians are busy protesting at in Vancouver. Theya re owned by Banks, using the Trump name.

People of a certain age , particularly those from NYC , may recall the lovely Art Deco building , an old style department store, on the site on 5th Anenue where the Trump Tower hideousness now stands. Under today's code it would be impossible to demolish it but back then, late 70s early 80s, he got away with it. The building had very fine friezes and people lobbied for them to be saved. IIRC, The Met agreed to take them but Trump sent in the demolition crew before they could be removed.

Sorry to correct you but, the national security threat wasn't elected, you must have missed that.

Could you please post some credible sources that proof Trump was in regular contact with the Kremlin during the election, because I missed that news.

ah, you missed the entire election cycle, then?

Clinton, btw, might have been a national security threat to other countries - that I'll give you. But Trump is a national security threat to us

Obama personally campaigned in Eurotrashland...talk about inappropriate.  The Russians are better allies than France, and you could probably add most of Canada to the list along with those countries where people don't have any vowels in their names.  Remember what Reagan said about Russia:  Trust and verify....they never printed what he said about the others.

We have to hope that regressive leftist victimish complex will never infect Thai people.

I live with a ladyboy and first reaction was that Trump hates LGBT people.

So identity politics and other leftist stuff is already present in some form here.

Also, let's not forget about Red Shirts.

Which is leftist party, aiming on poor Isaan people ...

the Russians, if you knew what the heck you were talking about, are not allies, much less better than the French.

Don't be a tool.

On January 20th, 2017 the US will not have a president, but it will have a Donald.

Donald has a very good mind, he said so himself.  The poorly educated love him.

From here on I will refer to him only as Donald.

Hey he is smart, he has already been backtracking on things he promised his faithful, and that in the last three days.  He doesn't need them anymore so .....

I noticed that also.  So the US has another president who was able pull one over on the people who put him into power.  Promise the masses the Moon, and at the end of the day show them your butt cheeks.  "I said I'd give you the Moon.  Did I lie?"
The system is totally broken as far as the plebs go.  It works fine for the upper crust.  Wealth disparity through the roof, 94 million out of the work force and unable to find jobs, and a crushing national debt.  It's the catalyst for domestic strife.  It's one thing for the progressive/socialist/communist mobs to hit the streets, but when Mainstream America decides it's time to hit the streets too - it gonna be ugly.  Best of luck with that one USA.  :coffee1:  Glad I live in the Land of Smiles. The Thai progressives are all sweet people by comparison.

"He promised his faithful to cut Obamacare (the Obamanation) immediately and replace it with something 'so gooood sooo great' that he never got around to saying what the heck it was and what he would do with the 12 to 20 million people who would lose health insurance.   Today he is going to keep some parts of Obamacare "

He has in fact repeated that Obamacare will be repealed and replaced with a new scheme.  He has never said that that new scheme will not include some of the better elements of Obamacare.  In fact, it would be difficult to have any new scheme which did not do so.

Donald Trump won the election by connecting with the ordinary people, the working people, the disenfranchised. He promised more employment and a better standard of living. . He took on the establishment, Wall St and the media. And he won.

Thaksin Shinawatra ought  to have tried that..........................................................................Oh............:shock1:.

He did, he challenged the Bangkok elite and won fair and square by a large majority mandate from the people. It was only later that he went off the rails, just like every Thai politician before and since. Sadly, taking on the establishment here is no longer an option.

Never in the history of the world have politicians  delivered on all their promises. Promises are just to grab votes, like giving passports to immigrants and dishing out taxpayer's money to couch potatoes etc.

according to the exit poll data, one of the reasons Trump won was because people that use to vote for Obama switch sides. I think both sides are to be blamed for their problems, both sides are unrealistic and pretty much all americans are out of touch with reality

Joseph de Maistre

Every nation gets the government it deserves.

Letter 76, on the topic of Russia's new constitutional laws (27 August 1811); published in Lettres et Opuscules. The English translation has several variations, including "Every country has the government it deserves" and "In a democracy people get the leaders they deserve." The quote is popularly misattributed to better-known commentators such as Alexis de Tocqueville and Abraham Lincoln.

Of course, that's stating the obvious. If I helped vote in a govt I'd expect to get the govt I deserved.

So now Russia is considered a credible source?

I never noticed that from your previous posts regarding Russia

Well welcome back whomever you were and enjoy your new account.

Russia could very well be playing mind-games with the US and the American public. This might all by a bit of the old disinformation game. Sure. But then you'd have to reconsider Wikileaks, and I don't think Trump supporters are up for that.

Can't have it both ways.

Going on about "Eurotrashland" - bringing up "inappropriate".

The Russians are not the US allies, but rather the number one threat to US national security, as stated by the Pentagon.

Got to love the way some posters mind works.

Trump, however, was "marketed" as the anti-thesis to run-of-the-mill politicians. A straight shooter, saying it like it is, means exactly what he says.
