Monkey Fish
Hello, There are plenty of good threads in this forum about what needs to be done to sell one's car in Thailand. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get the two forms (drl6 and power of atty) from any of them. LINK1 LINK2 for example. Other threads have links to download them from the Department of Land Transportation website, but they just return a 404 error. I would be grateful if somebody could provide the files or working links. Thank you for your time.

Monkey Fish
Just to wrap it up. The friend I sold my car to had no problem searching for and finding the car sale agreement form, searching in Thai.
dotpoom
You can buy most of these forms, contracts etc., at the local stationers or book shop.
Sydebolle
Here you go. The Car Transfer document is easy; funny enough is that, in the bottom part of the front page, the buyer has to sign on the upper right as well as the lower left line. The power of attorney is to be issued in duplicate (I forgot why though). To transfer you will need: - from a Thai buyer/seller two copies of ID card (both sides) as well as a copy of the house registration book - from a non-Thai buyer/seller two copies of passport with the pages of personal details as well as the last entry stamp and the T.M.-card (Immigration card) and a "certificate of residence issued by the immigration department. Should the non-Thai have a yellow house registration and a pink ID card then the residence certification by the immigration is obsolete. Sounds more complicated that it is; go there after 2.30pm; the queues are shorter and the boys want to go home and hence don't linger around anymore ;-) . 1409 Car Transfer.pdf 1409 PoA DLT.pdf

Also, if foreigner holds a work permit (more likely than a yellow book or pink ID card) then no Immigration letter will be needed. The power of attorney will only be needed if you send someone to file the documents for you. If you are going yourself then it's not needed.
