Wasn't Yingluk charged and fined 35 billion?  That's 100% more than zero

She's been charged.  It ends there.  By the time her case winds its way through the court system (an eternity in Thailand), the reds will be in charge, and the prosecution will be abandoned.  So 0 convictions, 0 suspended sentences.

I noticed there is nothing said about people selling water damaged spoiled rice to the government. Also no mention of the hundreds of trucks at the borders bringing in foreign rice. Yingluck was ignorant about all the different fraud schemes and companies actually stealing rice stocks. It apparently was easy for companies selling the same rice several times, just move it from warehouse to warehouse.

I remember nearly two years ago ending up at some girl's parent's house with some friends after a night out. This girl was in her early 20s and lived in a very nice house. Her parents were staying in another home in Hua Hin. I remember seeing 2 nice cars on the driveway, also. I asked this girl what her parents did for a living and she said "They sell rice".

It didn't make sense at the time, but it sure does now.

Bringing in the sheaves bringing in the sheaves we will come rejoicing bringing in the sheaves.

Just wondering do they get a queue number for their trial. Must they sign a paper saying that if they die their estate and the estate of their children will be held responsible. I imagine there is a line saying "Sign here for a 50% reduction in sentence." With all the other annual deductions they might only serve 10% of the time. Its a sure warning to the supposedly guilty. Pack up your bahts and get the hell out of Dodge.

No she wasn't. She repeatedly said there was no corruption in her government, no corruption in the rice scheme and that she and only she was in charge.

She apparently decided that all those activities you describe were normal and in line with the schemes objectives.

6000 people involved in the corruption, but is Yingluck the only one so far being asked to pay back her share, (supposedly amounting to 35 billion) ?
