BANGKOK: -- A Korean man jumped from the 19th floor of a Bangkok condo yesterday after he had been playing video games.

Twenty six year old Mun Song Jun was found in the road outside the 24 story condo in the Rama 3 area.

His arms were covered in cuts inflicted with a sharp object. His skull was fractured and legs and arms were broken.

Bang Pong Pang police went to room 1914 where they found fighting videos still playing. There was a folding razor in the bathroom covered in blood and a blood trail leading to the balcony, reported Daily News.

In the room they also found a one meter long black spear.

Police learnt that the dead man had lived with his mother in the apartment for five years. She worked in a jewelry shop in Silom but had gone to South Korea recently leaving her son alone.

Neighbors said he had no job and stayed home all day only emerging to eat twice a day.

Police said he had self-harmed himself before killing himself by jumping from the balcony. The body was sent for autopsy as relatives were being contacted.

Some sane people would say that those frequenting Cowboy should get help as should those who suggest that patronising Cowboy is a better alternative than video games.

And some say, condescending people should not lecture anyone about anything!

...sure, it was the fault of the video- game!

I bet, he some Ozzy or Marilyn Manson- albums somewhere as well...

Rama III Road in Bang Phong Phong district is not close to Soi Cowboy. My guess is it would be down around Sathu Pradit Road (I used to live there). The Bang Phong Phang Police Station is on Soi Suan Phlu, just a few meters up from the old Immigration Bureau there. It sounds like this kid had mental health problems -- possibly was on medication until no one was watching to make sure he took it every day. Very sad.

I've heard of Koreans dying in the PC room after playing non-stop for two days, but this is a new one. Dudes take their video games very seriously.

Both involves a world of deception, but video games are cheaper...

He had broken arms and legs? That's surprising, why would they even mention that after falling 24 floors

So he had what could have been defensive wounds from a razor on his arms and no witnesses, yet they declare it a suicide without further investigation?

A total bad looser I used to have a friend who if he lost a game of  pool would put the pool cue down a pocket and just snap it banned from playing pool in almost every bar in St Helier but he was well behaved in our local darts team.

I don't, she could well have been a controlling bitch that left him with nothing in his life other than video games.

It could have been his only way out of a nightmare....

shame it wasn't that gangman style singer

Maybe the guy had no money to live it up at soi cowboy like all us expats do.

R.I.P

This guy is from my university.

1. He had just graduated, it isn't surprising that a lot of fresh graduates don't have jobs.

2. He was probably depressed from the fact that he couldn't find a job, and couldn't cope with living alone.

I quit playing video games a couple of years ago, one of the best decisions I'v made, its such a waste of your  life in my opinion, you stare at a screen for hours, it can get expensive ( I wasted so much money on a FIFA Football/Soccer game) it takes you away from reality.

I sold my playstation and games, saved money and went on a solo trip to Bangkok for a week back in 2013, it changed my life, have been to Thailand 5 times now, also Vietnam and Cambodia, travelled around Europe, all within the last 2 years. You only get 1 shot at life so I'm glad I made the change.

Well done.

In all that time did you live in your own apartment?

Did your parents ever suggest you find a better hobby?

Another time I see how nasty and cruel Thai media is. If you don't know the person - don't make bad comments, especially if it's about death. It's not funny at all. People are so cruel to others, but when it happens to be their relatives they are completely different.

1. He just graduated, so it is obvious why he doesn't have a job.

2. People that don't get a job are more likely to be depressed.

Thai media didn't even mention that, of course, blame video games without proper investigation. So pathetic.
