Royal Thai Police spokesman dismisses reports of possible change of police chief

BANGKOK, 17th November 2016 (NNT) - A spokesman for the Royal Thai Police has dismissed reports of a possible change in the occupant of the police chief’s office.

Deputy national police spokesman Piyapan Pingmuang said yesterday that police chief Gen. Chakthip Chaijinda isn't worried about reports of such a change and he has not raised the issue with the Cabinet at all.

Gen. Chakthip has been performing his duties in full despite the reported plan to remove him, said the deputy spokesman.

He added that the Royal Thai Police’s legal team has already been instructed to determine what laws the reports have infringed while an investigation into the source of the reports has already succeeded in identifying those responsible for the spread of this rumor.

WOW finding a real keeper here in the BIB is quite an achievement. Clone the guy if he is truly any good.

Following this denial, I guess we can expect an official announcement of a change any day now.

Just for everyone's memory It so happens that it was big time RTP boss General Chakthip Chaijinda who the Pattaya Nang Fa Karaoke Bar owner Paranisa Chaiyanapanichkul called that night it was raided.  Readers might remember that the joke was on Lt. Colonel Narawuth Karamahito who raided the joint with his motley crew and allegedly demanded 20,000 baht for the problem to disappear. When they were sprung by her surprise phone call to General Chakthip it was Narawath and his crew who fled while messing their undies.

That was back in July. This story is only just warming up.
