BANGKOK: -- Rocker Seksan Sukpimai, better known as Sek Loso, was today given a two-year suspended jail sentence after the Criminal Court found him guilty of assaulting in April this year.

The court first sentenced him to two years and six months in prison for assaulting and seriously injured Ms Chanokchol “Bee” Boonpeng, his ex-wife personal assistant on April 13 in Raminthra area of Bangkok.

But the court reduced the sentence by half to one year and three months and a 2,000 baht fine. However his jail sentence was suspended for two years after he pleaded guilty.

Sek’s associate Sahachart Poonsri who also faced the same charge was also given two years in jail but commuted to one year. His jail sentence was also suspended for two years.

During the probation period, both were also ordered by the court to do charity work three times within one year.

Both were brought before the Criminal Court to hear assault charges stemming from a clash with his ex-wife’s personal assistant in the Ram Intra area in April.

At the time of the attack, Sek’s ex-wife Wiphakorn “Kan” Sukpimai flayed him on social media for assaulting Bee.

WELL that's good to know, now some one can kick the <deleted> out of him and his mate,(note two of them) and get probation, next. will thai laws ever be reformed

Kicked and broke a woman's jaw, probably should have gone to prison.

At least he's a Loso not a Hiso.

But speak your mind and get 10 years.

Although the sentence is very lenient, he was charged, much to the dismay of the members on here who believe anyone with money/connections can avoid the justice system altogether.

Problem is you never have no idea how Thai 'justice' will be delivered.

Zero money, well you are just sh*t outta luck!

After that all sorts of factors play in. Do you know someone? Are you in political favor? Celebrity? Military? Hiso?

Many on this forum love to blame BIB for all the ills of the legal system. I tend to believe that the judiciary itself is so corrupt and politicized that 'justice' is a crap shoot

Another celebrity, another suspended sentence.

people should pay for their actions, and i don't mean 2000 THB.

hitting a woman should be taken seriously.

The "woman" is actually a ladyboy .Not to say that assault is the prefered way of dealing with a prob .

Well that news changes everything then. Many of the members here will be cheering now. Maybe he caught her trying to pickpocket him.

Brute! Beat his wife up 2 years ago and this girl in April.

Beast. If he's not hitting the wife he's hitting her ladyboy friends.

" and a 2,000 baht fine " that will really teach him.......

it seems he would benefit from some concrete therapy.

a real pratt, like this can learn from nothing. Some people like his works, but I think he is just a copymachine.... Not goood even.

Come on guys you can't really expect a Thai to go to prison for this. If every Thai male who beat up his wife/GF/LB or assulted other males was sent to prison then probably three quarters of the male population would be behind bars. They're a very violent race with enormous egos and extremely short fuses. The justice system just can't cope with the volume of violent crime in this country, so they let it slide, which, of course is just a green light for everyone to continue kicking and thumping whenever they feel a twinge of anger.

Small fight, not a big deal. Not sure why they arrested him in the first place.

Wasn't he arrested for using crystal meth?

Shh! Don't wake him. He has a short temper.

  • 1 year later...

I hope that they won't find his weed !

I thought punishment would be harder for a Sek's crime.

As the topic is 13 months old and there was not a news update on this, don't know why there was a need to resurrect this topic.
