Spending Money

You will be fine 12000 a day even if you find the girl of your dreams and bar fine her every day 13 x 300 = 3900.

Long term ie 13 days comfort with said lady 1000 to 1500 a night so go with higher figure 1500 x 13 = 19500

Grand total 23400.

12000 x 13 = 156000 minus above left to spend =132600 ÷ that by 13 days = 10200 a day to spend. unless your an alcoholic  say 10 bottles of beer 65bht for you 650 bht and if you stay in her bar which I wouldn't after buying her one beer so she gets paid 150 × 10 =1500 total = 2150. leaving 8150. very doable.

But leaving her bar after first drink (little known fact if she doesn't get one drink in a day bought for her she doesn't get the days bar wage which agreed is a pitance but) so one drink at 150 then 9 at 65 = 735  leaving daily 8885 for a bit of food and other bits and pieces. Remember what bar you drink in is as they say UP TO YOU. don't get suck in to drinking all day in her bar you will end up buying girl drunks for all staff. One and leave.

If you spend 1600 a month for 7.8 years, that would cost what you spent on your anti heat home improvements. If you moved home, you could take the aircon with you. Also, factor in your age and the possibility of divorce. Ill stick with the aircon comfort any time.

On what ? Booze and bar girls. What a waste !

B10k/night is not hard to do; especially if you throw in imported food and wine. Just water, plain rice and four girls could cost that.

As far as booze and bar girls being a waste; it seems Thai tourism is largely built on that waste.

Not at all. Work your butt off for 40+ weeks of the year and then come to Thailand and enjoy yourself for a couple of weeks, money is no expense. It's a very reasonable and therapeutic thing to do.

Well if you are coming on a nice holiday with your wife and children to enjoy the warm weather, good food, a different culture, i would agree that it could be reasonable and rejuvenating if you have the money.

But if you are living alone and saving it all up to come as a sex tourist to binge drink and enjoy with prostitutes each night, that is not my idea of therapeutic healing.

The world would be a sad place indeed if we were all exactly the same!

Wow! What do you buy for lunch?

Thailand has a range of options for every budget:

30 - 200 baht street food

200 - 400 baht most farang restaurants - typically in tourist areas

500 - 1000 baht most mid range restaurants (these are the types of places poorer Thai people go on their pay day once a month, post pictures of so their friends know they can afford to eat at 1000 baht restaurants, they're usually in malls)

1000 - 6000 baht higher end restaurants - most of these tend to be foreign food but their primarily clientele is Thai
