South Korean EC meets Thai EC over transparent elections

BANGKOK, 23 November 2016 (NNT) - The Election Commission of Thailand (EC) met its South Korean counterpart to exchange experiences in organizing transparent elections.

EC Deputy Secretary-General Police Colonel Jarungwit Phumma welcomed members of the National Election Commission of South Korea upon their arrival to Thailand. Before discussions began, the South Korean delegation extended their condolences on the passing of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

The Thai election commissioners explained the roles of the EC at both the regional and national levels to the visiting South Korean officials. They also assured them that Thailand is moving forward with its roadmap to democracy.

Several members of Thailand's EC traveled to South Korea earlier this year to observe how general elections were carried out in the country. The National Election Commission of South Korea is also responsible for overseeing political parties and the Association of World Election Bodies, which is located in Seoul.

This is just too pathetic to comment on at any length.

Sickening hypocrisy and pretence.

Is that a misprint, should it have read Thailand and N Korea?

To be accurate I hope they also explained the role of the CDC in dictating how the EC shall operate. Nothing similar in South Korea.

who is giving advice to whom?
