Looks to me that really nothing happened at all to you. She realized her misstake and fixed it for you. If you were looking for an apology, you are far out in the wrong country. Instead she corrected her wrong with trying to make you think that she made something for you. That´s just the way here.

indeed apart from a moment that i thought I was wrong when she mentioned the word overstay and I was surprised by that, nothing really happened..... so I did not open a post about it or went on a rant but just stated what happened for the lack of a word that better suits you

There was nothing to ' fix' anyway and I live here for a while already and understand the lost face issue as well or the lack of apologies following 'fixing of mistakes'

Thanks for your valuable contribution

  • You may of just been lucky they did not notice you failed to do your report before leaving the country. You are the one giving misleading info. The 7 days is to do the report. Leaving the country

  • I had this issue once. The lady immi officer shouted out to her superior 'one day overstay' I pointed out it was no overstay and i had an extension of stay based on marriage and I could have repo

  • They don't check for 90 day reports at airports and border crossings. They have no interest in them since is not their job to do it. The 7 days after the report date is only to doing a report. Le

Your welcome! LOL

Well I'm going to heed what this immigration consultant advised , which concurred with the Jomtein Immigration lady .02f823eda1f4d541147bd2456129af15.jpg

That's fine for you, you will bear any consequences if there are any.

However, I would advise anyone else to consider that the 7-day leeway to file a report is only valid if you actually file a 90 day report.  In other words, it is true that you can file your 90 day report up to 7 days after it would be due, but that assumes that you actually *do* file a 90 day report.  What you are doing is taking advantage of the 7-day leeway without actually filing a 90 day report.

Another simple way to think about it is that the 90 day report must be filed if you spend 90 consecutive days in Thailand.  Well, following your advice you would have spent more than 90 days in Thailand and not filed a 90 day report.  Clearly, that's a problem.

Lol , ok I will just have to make a detour to Immigration on my way to the airport and file a report.Let you all know the results on Tuesday.
