Looking for table in wrought iron in BKK

Featured Replies

Hello.

I am looking for a shop that can sell table or console in wrought iron (see attached photo).

Anyone knows where i can find this kind of furniture in Bangkok ?

Thank you for your assistance !

Wrought-iron is usually associated with fancy scroll work and other squiggly stuff. What you show is made from simple steel tube welded up. Many, many places should be able to zip it up in a few minutes to your dimensions. The 1" steel tube is cheap, 200 Baht for a 6m length.

These places do classic "wrought iron" work (all are actually steel) :-

"Real" wrought iron is this stuff https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wrought_iron

Where in Bangkok are you? Somebody with local knowledge of your area may be able to direct you, otherwise it's time go get out and explore what's available.

I have been struggling to find a bannister for a railing that I like. I wonder if it's possible in Thailand to get something like this as it would be perfect for what I want.

Yes it's impressive. If it could be done here I'd say possibly cut it out of sheet metal with a computer driven laser.  I showed it to the person who is doing some glass railings for me today and they said that there is a guy in Nonthaburi who could possibly do it and they will pass on his number to my project manager.

I did take a look at the links but the majority of the work seems to be ornate Victorian style. There is some beautiful work on those sites but it would clash with the style of my house build.
