Global business leaders convene at Horasis talks

BANGKOK: -- THE HORASIS ASIA Meeting kicked off yesterday as one of the biggest business forums in Bangkok this year as more than 350 businesspeople from across the world convened for a two-day meeting at the Shangri-la Hotel.

 

One topic of debate was how US president-elect Donald Trump will change outgoing President Barack Obama’s “pivot to Asia” policy.
The Bangkok meeting is being chaired by Frank-Jurgen Richter, chairman of Horasis, which is based in Switzerland, and Vachara Phanchet, of Thailand’s Sittipol Holdings.

Among the topics discussed yesterday were faith, globalisation, Thailand’s growth path and the “vision” for Asia.
