GiantFan
Was on the computer just after 5am and felt a little shaking. Printer paper was vibrating. Just noticed an EQ in Aceh.

DrDave
Woke us up (we're light sleepers!) Long, mild back and forth shaking for about 10 seconds. USGS website lists it as a 6.4 in Reuleuet Indonesia (just east of Banda Aceh).

Exactly as Dr. Dave says, except that we're not particularly light sleepers.

Guest
I slept well and didn't woke up for the tremor. However few nights back I felt something, which I thought was a quake. Mild shaking, no passing busses nor a cat cleaning herself in the bed. Here is Phuket wavefrom almost realtime shaking print by TMD. http://www.seismology.tmd.go.th/waveform.html?station=PKDT USGS quake-map http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/map/

madmitch
I woke up around that time for no apparent reason. Maybe there's now an explanation.

madmax2
Just as well it was not centred in Phuket, with a earthquake of that magnitude only 10% of the buildings would still be standing
Shot
Not a good day for the locals. 97 dead so far. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/indonesia-quake-toll-jumps-to-97-as-more-bodies-found-in-rubble/ar-AAleWLF?li=BBnb7Kz
