Apartment or condo for a month in phuket, where?

Featured Replies

I'd like to stay in Phuket for a month or so together with my girlfriend.

We'd like to rent a 1+ bedroom apartment or condo not exceeding 25k THB. Such a deal is easily found in Bangkok but I have no idea about Phuket.

A Thai style apartment complex is fine as long as it has at least 1 separate bedroom and it must be clean.

Is there something like thaiapartment.com for Phuket? Or should I contact real estate agents?

Depends on what you want and where you want to be on the island. People would be able to comment better if you gave more info.

We have a car so transportation isn't important. I personally prefer within an 8km range from the hotzone, along the shore.

We've never been to Phuket so not sure about the neighbourhoods. I prefer somewhere quiet, but with some places to eat in walking distance.

What month?

might be hard if now thru April 15th as this is  the high season

Low season, yes

Look at phuket gazette online

Around the end of December preferably.

How does it work in Phuket? Are there apartments you can walk into and negotiate a 1-month lease? In Bangkok I can find an apartment in 5 minutes if I want to.

Vacant apartments all over Phuket, just drive around until you find a area you like

25K baht a month will give you a choice of most apartments in most areas including the tourist hot spots
