Lungstib
Can anyone tell me how old you have to be to own a motorbike in Thailand. Plenty of info about age to drive but a young man is trying to buy my bike and he has been told he can not register it in his name. He is 18. Just out of interest what about owning a car? Thanks to anyone who can help.

Briggsy
20 years old. Under that he will have to have somebody act on his behalf.
Briggsy
In Thai law my understanding is that a number of "rights" including registering a vehicle in one's name are linked to "coming of legal age". This is usually 20 but if one is legally married (registered marriage not just village marriage) between 17 and 20, then you obtain these rights 'early'.
