SECOND CONCERN EXPRESSED TO CDC IS LIMITED TIME EXISTING PARTIES WILL HAVE TO ADJUST

BANGKOK: -- THE PROPOSED annual membership fee for political party membership and the limited time to adjust to the new rules were the two main points of concern put before constitution drafters yesterday.

About 150 politicians who attended an opinion gathering forum at the Cooperative League of Thailand’s head office, mostly agreed that the new membership fee rule would be an unnecessary burden for party members and make it more difficult for parties to recruit people. ...should focus on ideology....

There's a new idea for most Thai political parties.

I wonder if the person who made this comment, if questioned on the spot, could espouse in detail the ideology of his/her party and whether their ideology is focused on taking Thailand forward with logical tangible specifics and on equal opportunity, and on total reform of every aspect of education?

Money is always a focus in politics, maybe the main reason

people want to become one,is to garner influence and wealth,

but they always say they are in politics for the good of the country.

Once again, the rich will be able go do what they want because they have money. The hoi paloi will be ignored again. Why should only rich people be good at governing. They haven't been in the past, so why now? Another way for the 'so called  elite' to take over again rather than let the poor farmers have their say.

When have 'poor farmers' EVER had a say in the governing of the country?
