Thai woman hangs herself after jealous argument with Italian lover

PATTAYA:-- A Thai woman hanged herself with an electrical cord after having a jealous argument with her Italian boyfriend.

 

Michael Bertolini, 30, had been out with his girlfriend in Pattaya but they had argued. She went home alone and he decided to go and stay with friends, he told Pattaya police.

 

The couple had lived together for three years.

 

On Friday afternoon he decided to go home but could get no answer from his knock at the door of their flat in Thepprasit Soi 17 in South Pattaya.

 

He looked in the window then called the manager to open the door. Twenty nine year old Phakhapporn Khaongam had hanged herself from the window frame with the electrical cord from some curling tongs.

 

Michael immediately called the police.

 

the victim was dressed in a white t-shirt and panties. Her tongue was sticking out of her mouth. There were no injuries on the body or signs of a struggle.

 

Michael told the cops he had a jealous argument with his girlfriend while at an entertainment venue and they had gone their separate ways.

So sad to hear someone could end their life for such petty jealousies that somehow affect people in such a way to commit suicide.

Doesn't really matter where they'd been to, a youngish women has apparently taken her own life over an argument.

stupid thing to do, isn't it?

When the substance of self esteem is built on memorized songs, saving face, and not asking teachers questions, there is precious little to fall back on in a perceived crisis.

Although many factors contribute to self-harm and suicide, one of the perennials is alcohol.

 

I wonder to what extent it played a part in this sad tale.

They had lived together for 3 years and he conveniently had no keys to get in to their joint home? I always have keys to get into mine. Just saying.

Not just Thais, i had a friend in Germany whose girlfriend would lock herself in the bathroom after an argument and shake pill bottles around so that he knew she was taking something, it was then up to him to call the medics to get her stomach pumped out. He was too scared to leave her in case she killed herself. He went for help to psychiatrist who told him to leave her, he carried no responsibility if she committed suicide. He left her and 15 years later the stupid bitch is still alive.

Obviously the concept of poor taste is unknown to you. I suppose we should hear that jumper suicides have had their brains and guts spread all over the pavement, let's hear all the gory details to satisfy those who don't get enough excitement in their pathetic lives.

Of course it happens in every country in the world but Pattaya is likely the suicide capital of LoS.

It did to a friend of mine back in the UK many years ago.

 

To my shame even lasting today I never went to his funeral 55 years ago.

 

One of quite a few regrets in my life.

an excellent comment/ observation. might i add self esteem seems also based upon image rather than substance and how much money some girls can get from selling themselves.

How do we know for sure it was a suicide? The Italian man said; they had an argument and he went to stay with friends, or so he said. Then he alleged to have later gone home and found his girlfriend hanged.

 

I would like to know; did the police investigate his staying with friends alibi? Did they question the friends? Or have the police just taken the guy by his word and written this off as another suicide case as suicides seem to be the favourite cause of deaths in Thailand according to the police.

Really is there a need to describe all he gory details. Let the poor woman rest in peace. She loved the guy and he seemed to be a loser. Replicated time and again. Love can be a strange potent especially when your younger. Should come in a bottle labeled "Use at your won risk with caution"
