Continuing the great work done by Tywais and team in previous years, it's that time of year for starting the design of the 2017/2560 Thaivisa Calendar.

 

Previous calendars, 2010-2016, were a great success due to the excellent photo contributions from Thaivisa members.

Thailand’s growth rate is expected to rise to 3.1 percent from 2.5 percent

BANGKOK: -- Thailand’s economic growth rate for this year is expected to register 3.1 percent instead of 2.5 percent as earlier predicted, thanks to effective fiscal policy, increased investments and improved disbursements of funding, said Mr Kiatipong Ariyapratya, senior economist at Bangkok-based World Bank’s regional office, on Monday.

BANGKOK: -- The Foreign Trade Department has sent an administrative notice to the Legal Execution Department to demand about 20 billion baht in compensation for the loss from 6 million tonnes of G-to-G rice deals from six individuals, including former commerce minister Boonsong Teripaphirom and his deputy, Poom Sarasin.

BERLIN (AP) — A truck rammed into a crowded Christmas market in central Berlin on Monday evening, killing at least nine people and injuring around 50 as it tore through tables and wooden stands. Police said a suspect believed to be the driver was arrested nearby and a passenger died as paramedics were treating him.
