Is Weed Prohibition Over?
Beyond CP, I don’t believe any of Thailand’s major Chinese-Thai business families, those controlling the country’s largest industries such as alcohol, life insurance, tourism, hotels, shopping malls, residential real estate, duty-free, concrete, steel, etc are interested in the cannabis business. These families are typically conservative and likely opposed to cannabis altogether. As for the powerful figures in uniform, those interested and involved with the cannabis trade are likely the same ones already tied to Thailand’s broader illicit drug industry. Many of them are likely dealing in large-scale cannabis operations and are mainly "exporting". However, I doubt they have any interest in entering the local retail cannabis market. With prices dropping to ฿20–฿30 per gram, there’s little profit left in retail. The domestic cannabis market has become a highly competitive, fragmented business where each player is only carving out a small slice of the pie. Given this, I see no reason why the dynamics of the industry should change. It will likely continue as it is, as any changes to the current laws wouldn’t benefit anyone. Moreover, there’s little appetite to revert to policies that would once again fill jails with cannabis-related offenders. The only group truly missing out is the government, which had hoped to eventually benefit from taxation and regulation. However, it’s too late for them to insert themselves into the equation now. As I mentioned earlier, the window of opportunity for the government to get in on the game has closed. -

Recommended VPN for Thailand --> UK?
I can't speak for the others as I've never tried them, but I've been using NordVPN for 3-4 years now and very happy with it. Works perfectly, never had a single issue, and it's pretty cheap. Main thing I use it for is iPlayer and similar UK based things. Not saying it's the best as I have no idea, only saying I use it and like it and it has worked flawlessly for all the time I've had it.- 1

Actually it's kind of normal these days to do this. We did it too (15yrs ago) as did several of my friends. Now, 25 years ago not so much, back then I had a few friends pay a decent amount. -

Best English Bangers and Mash on Jomtien?
Sausagemeat with high pork content (85% minimum), salt and pepper is all u need for a basic sausage but you need proper sausage skins. Loads of recipes on YouTube, they should be easy to make if you can get the raw materials. FWIW I've not had any decent restaurant-served sausages in Thailand versus what I'd cook myself in the UK (I don't buy the Richmond/Walls ones that KannikaP rightly derided and seems to be the usual standard or worse seen in Thailand). I'm sure they are out there. but if u can make your own they will be better. I cook my sausages in the oven btw rather than frying. Makes skins crispier and sausages less fatty. Grilling or frying are the alternatives. -

How do you know that the kid was responsible? For all you know the stepfather could have been abusive and violent. It wouldn't be the first time a drunk step father came home to beat on his wife or to accost the children. Perhaps it would be prudent to refrain from offering polemics on the state of Thailand youth, until the facts of the incident are established. -
