Surin patrol units keeping everyone safe during holiday season

SURIN, 23 December 2016 (NNT) - A group of authorities in Surin took to the street to maintain law and order ahead of Christmas to ensure safety for everyone across the province.

Surin Governor Attaporn Singhawichai released a group of 250 people including police officers, soldiers and local administrative officials as well as those from the provincial offices of public health and the Excise Department.

The move is to ensure the well-being and safety of people in the province during Christmas and New Year celebrations. Check points will be set up at various locations particularly where crimes and road accidents had often been reported in the past.

The authorities will enforce the laws rigorously to keep illegal activities such as drunk driving and street fights at bay and to lower road fatalities.

The Surin Governor said provincial police, the 25th Military Circle and local administrative organizations will work in a joint effort throughout these periods to effectively maintain peace in the province. Teenagers with behavioral issues will be asked to join the police operation to help the officers keep their peers under control.

That's nice of him releasing them into the wild.

So the locals will know the places to bypass.

So drunken motorcycle racing teenagers on yaba will be assisting the police. (With compulsory noisy exhaust).

I am a regular driver in Surin province and would say there are more police and army check points than in other provinces. I have been breathalysed many times.

I think the Surin authority's are more proactive than other provenances. Personally I think anything that makes the roads safer has to be a good thing.
