Re-entry permit TM7, TM13?

While downloading form needed for a re-entry permit I came upon TM7, Application for re-entry permit into the Kingdom. Ok, I understand that one. But what is TM13, Application for endorsement of re-entry permit? Are both needed? I will be leaving through Nong Khai. Is it better to get permit elsewhere than there? Thank you for answering a newbie. These forms are maddening.

A TM7 form is to apply for an extension and a TM13 form is for those on permanent residency.

You will use a TM8 form. Download: http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/pdf/tm8.pdf

You can get it at the Nong Khai crossing or at your local immigration office.

* A 2″ photo
* Photocopy of passport (main page, visa page and latest entry stamp)

Current fees for re-entry permit

* 1,000 Baht for single
* 3,800 Baht for multiple

Thanks  gentlemen. Still not clear on TM13. I am on an O-A visa issued 8 Feb 16, left July 2016 & will return 21 Jan 17. Do I  use TM8 OR 13 at Nong Khai when I travel to Laos.

 why do you need a reentry permit if your non imm 'O''A' is valid until after your return, you will get a fresh 1 year permission to stay stamp on entry on 21st JAN

 

buts its a tm8 as ubonjoe posted a tm13 is for persons on permanent residency.

It does not appear you need a re-entry permit if your visa was issued on February 8th of 2016 which means you should have enter before date on your visa dated February 7th of 2017. If you do an entry on or before that date you will get a new one year entry.

If after the February 8th you will need to use a TM8 to apply for a re-entry permit to keep your last one year entry valid.

Thanks again, gentlemen. Yes, I won't be going to Laos until after 8 Feb so I will need TM8 re-entry permit.
