webfact Posted January 4, 2017 Share Posted January 4, 2017 Old timer washed away in flood as rains continue to lash South Picture: Thairath NAKHON SI THAMMARAT: -- A 70 year old man was washed away in floodwaters in Nakorn Sri Thammarat last night after his Suzuki Caribian developed engine trouble. But soldiers and foundation rescuers were quickly on the scene and Phajon Sae-duan lived to tell the tale. He was caught as torrents from continued heavy rain washed his stranded vehicle into Klong Nam Sai in Sichon district. He managed to get out of the 4 wheel drive vehicle himself and then was helped from the water by rescuers who thereafter retrieved his Suzuki from the klong. Authorities warned the public to be cautious as heavy rain continues in the south of Thailand.
