Hi,

maybe is not possible to do this but i ask.... and maybe someone did it and worked.

I married in Thailand and registered the marriage also in my country trough embassy.

My question is....can i divorce at the Amphur (we fully agree on everything) but not tell my embassy?

I don't think Amphur send any communication to embassies but just to immigration perhaps (i am changing

my visa already from marriage to retirement anyway).

I have my personal reasons to do this even though may seems not clever.

I will not re-marry for sure so no problem in future about that.

Anybody did it?

Thanks

You do not tell the embassy of the divorce and neither does the Thai government.

The divorce is valid in any country. If you try to get or keep a higher pension or such because of being married it would of course be fraud.

In addition the records in the UK show you as married if you do not change these. That means that other people in the UK can consider you as still married, as that is what is shown in the official records. That can be very important in the case of you or your ex-wife having debts.
