What would be a good gift to bring from America for the ladies working in an office?  I was thinking maybe a big jar of mixed nuts.

Expect that would be appreciated but would add below as totally unavailable here AFAIK and although some will not like others may.

Food for sure. Smoked salmon is good choice.

or some good quality chocolates and cookies will do just fine....

Plenty of nuts already in Thailand. Fetch on of those big boxes of assorted jelly beans. I don't see them here.

Jelly beans are another great idea.

I would up your budget and spend big at Victoria's Secret. Might be some dividends .........

A nice box of chocolates.  Girls can't resist them.

Wrong question to ask here as the answers maybe less than serious. They love to eat some like sweet things others not, bring candy/sweets and salty nuts. Anything you can't get here or are expensive will be a hit.

Walmart has a lot of large bags of assortments like this.

 

I usually bring Hersheys of various types, yeah, most of the hersheys is sold everywhere, but there are usually some in the assortments not sold in Asia.....and it all vanishes, anyway.

or maybe even gold.....cheese !! They all heard about cheese but never ate?!

Suspect you are not in Thailand currently?  Cheese has become almost as common as rice in the last few years  - big change - so expect most have indeed eaten it and had many types of snack food flavored by it.  Even some of the pizzas actually have more than a dab these days.

 

Chocolate (filled) is normally not a good choice because of heat here - most US types will not survive. 

Why do guys always think perfume would be appreciated? My experience is that girls have a particular scent they like. Are guys choosy about deodorant they use?

I usually bring back the travel sized lotions or hand sanitizer from Bath and Body works, or whatever is on sale at the store. I have also done the minature scented candles from Yankee Candles- there is usually a sale if you buy 5-10.

 

There is both Yankee Candle and Bath and Body works in Thailand, but it is so expensive.

 

Put them in a basket with some candy and let the ladies in the office pick the scent/item they want.
