Hi all,

I am a uk citizen age 22 holding a British passport and have arrived in Thailand many times and am given a 30 day stamp. I am intending of going back using the same process shortly. My passport is nowhere near full; but does contain lots of Thailand entry and re entry 30 day stamps. Is there a point where I can be refused entry or certain points of entry which are stricter? Is this highly unlikely?

Thank you in advance.

Hi Paul,

thanks,  hoping will be fine. I normally do this and backpack about re entering via air instead of processing a visa seems to be a real hassle. Thanks anyway.

I don't want to be picky, but in fact there is no 30 day visa on arrival.

What you are referring to is a 30 day visa exempt entry wuich is available to U.K. and some other nationalities.

Be aware that some airlines , not all, will not allow you to board the aircraft to Thailand without a valid Thai visa OR an  out of Thailand ticket within 30 days.

This does not always happen, but there are people who have been told this by the airline.

This is because by IATA rules if for some reason you are denied entry to Thailand the AIRLINE can be responsible for removing you from Thailand.

Just be aware of this possibility in case it does happen.

The airline may insist that you purchase an out of gountry ticket or agree to some kind of agreement absolving them of the resonsibility to remove you from Thailand if for some reason you are not allowed entry to Thailand.

It does ocassonally happen and if it does it will mess up your departure.

just so you know.
