OK mods, we need a forum for current road conditions/areas to avoid.

1. 36- toward Rayong, basically avoid it as 1 hour from 7 to 331.  From 331 to 7, not too bad.

2.  7 OK to ??

3 3 Southbound from Nua to Theppasit ???

4. 3 Northbound from Theppasit to Nua

5. 331 dual carriageway open all the way from 36 to a little south of Silverlake turn off

6. Soi Siam CC--???

If this was updated and mods deleted whinges, it would be useful to all.

There's at least a couple of easily accessible and readable smartphone apps that have current local Pattaya traffic in the standard green, amber and red color coding. I installed them once but after the novelty wore off (confirmation of long-standing and pre-existing traffic bottlenecks), I uninstalled them.

If you live out by Lake Mabprachan you can't help but believe there is some sort of official conspiricy to stop you driving into Pattaya. Even the road round the lake now has bridge widening and the short cut across  the lake for m'bikes has been blocked.

It just 'feels' like it's deliberate - but I suppose paranoia is taking over.

Just because you are paranoid, it doesn't mean they aren't out to get you!

I frequently use highways 36 and 331 to get to Plutaluang and while almost completing the widening of the 331 and making that bit easy, they have destroyed the 36 as they very slowly make 'improvements' to that one.

Don't even need an specialised apps any more. The following 2 screen grabs from google maps about 10 minutes ago (late Sunday afternoon). Looks about right.
