Does anyone have any knowledge of this brand?  (ProFlex)

Only info I can find is their own advertisements on the web. Apparently it's made here so I'm a wee bit skeptical.

I bought the whey isolate & what's on the label looks good. The powder itself is a little different than whey's I've had in the past, but can't make judgments on that alone.

Any info appreciated. Thanks!

All proceeded with heat and chemicals and the cows are not grass fed . I know this sounds extreme but I stopped the powder after years of buying and added black and red beans daily to diet . Much cheaper and more fiber and I get even more grams of protien with as much as I eat daily than with powder that may be less than healthy considering where it comes from and how it's proceeded .

I agree & also have those beans in my diet, rarely eating red meat. When lifting weights it seems I heal a bit better with the addition of whey isolate (possibly a placebo affect). Don't think you can get the high glutamine from the beans. What do you think about just adding glutamine & maybe arginine, without the whey.

Thanks!

A decent diet is all that's needed.

If thats not good enough anabolics are readily available.

Some might be piss but thats how it is.

Not quite, it has been proven that for people lifting weights 0,82 grams per LB of body-weight is needed. Most studies were for the average guy not for weight lifters / bodybuilders who just need more. Recent follow up studies suggested as much. I always try to shoot for around those amounts.

Now I use a lot of whey because its convenient to get protein from, else I need to consume a lot of chicken / fish ect. (of course i try to get as much as possible from normal foods but whey and casein do have its place)

As for steroids working ... sure nobody would deny that.

I think your idea is great and do this myself . I added powdered glutamine ( 1200 baht for one kilo ) to my iHerb orders when I switched from whey to other sources of protien from unprocessed plants .

Whey protein is total nonsense. It's a by-product sold to the gullible.

Just eat some meat or eggs. You'll fart less.

Im sure you know :passifier:

Whey protein is indeed a by product that is sold to people and it certainly can have a place in a diet. It really depends on how the diet looks its an easy way to get in proteins without too much calories. Eggs are nice but come with a lot of fat too (not that all fat is bad), so it has a higher caloric count for the same amount of proteins. Now if you only have a  limited amount of calories to spend (trying to cut or not get fat) and you want to be high in protein whey is perfect.

If you have no caloric restrictions meat and eggs are good though I would get too full eating the amount of protein I need. From trail and error I can say the 2 gram per kg of muscle is good for me.. less than that and I recover slower, more does not have any benefits for me.
